Welcome to Carousel Child Care Center
Carousel Child Care Center has served Anchorage families since 1968. We are licensed by the Municipality of Anchorage Health Department Child Care Licensing Program for up to 115 children ages 12 months through 12 years, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
We are a Thread Learn & Grow Level 2 program actively working toward Level 3, and we implement the Pyramid Model for Social Emotional Learning in every classroom. Our curriculum is aligned with the Alaska Early Learning Guidelines, and all staff complete required background checks, maintain current CPR and First Aid certification, and participate in ongoing professional development throughout the year.
At Carousel, every child is known by name, supported as an individual, and given every opportunity to grow.

Tadpoles 1 and 2 — 12 to 36 months
Seedlings — 3 years old
Sprouts — 4 years old
Saplings — 5 years old
Kinders — Kindergarten
School Age — 6 to 12 years old
Staying Connected with Tadpoles
Carousel uses the Tadpoles app to keep families connected to their child’s day. Through Tadpoles you will receive real-time updates including photos, videos, daily activity reports, meal tracking, and notes from your child’s teacher. You will always know what your child did today, who they played with, what they ate, and how they are doing.
Tadpoles also serves as our check-in and check-out system. Families sign children in and out each day through the app, making drop off and pickup smooth and secure.
