Carousel Child Care Center has been a cornerstone of Anchorage early childhood education since 1968. We are looking for dedicated, caring professionals who want to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in our community.
Lead Teacher
Lead Teachers are responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintaining a safe and nurturing classroom environment, building relationships with children and families, completing required documentation and daily lesson plans in Tadpoles, and ensuring ratio compliance and supervision standards at all times.
At least one year of childcare experience is required. Lead Teachers are expected to complete the Thread Learn and Grow program within one year of hire. All candidates must pass a background check and hold current CPR and First Aid certification.
Teaching Assistant
Teaching Assistants support Lead Teachers in daily classroom activities, assist with meals and transitions, and help maintain a safe and positive environment for all children. No prior experience is required — all TAs receive on-the-job training. TAs are required to complete 24 hours of approved professional development training annually. All candidates must pass a background check.
